How To End Panic Attacks For Good Using Holistic Psychology

As a previous panic attack sufferer, I know what a living hell it is.

Stuck in a cycle of anticipatory fear, not anxiety… But fear, or even terror, before the next one.

Fearing the next panic attack, wondering when it may randomly occur, is debilitating.

Life becomes smaller.

You avoid more.

I get it.

I was there over 15 years ago.

It took me many months, books read, strategies tried and seeing a Psychologist but...

Nothing worked.

Not even seeing a Psychologist.

I remember sitting in the grey comfortable chair, feet on the grey carpet, white walls around me staring at a whiteboard on the wall.

It was here that we started trying to challenge my ‘irrational’ thoughts and figure out whether my fear of panic attacks were realistic.

The issue about this is that all I wanted to do was to escape my mind.

Not continue to dig deeper into it by trailing through all my ‘irrational’ thoughts.

I realised after this session with the Psychologist that traditional therapy was not going to work.

I realised I had to figure something else out.

More months passed, and different practitioners seen.

What I did ended up figuring out was this.

The ultimate trick to overcoming panic attacks for good, is not about spending more time in your head.

It’s the exact opposite.

I know you fear being more in your body, because being in your body is where you experience your panic attacks (and of course the terrifying thoughts that go with the horrible physical sensations).

But more often than not, cognitive-behavioural therapy, which is the gold standard for therapy in Australia, is not actually what a panic attack sufferer needs.

A panic attack is best overcome using holistic psychology practices.

There’s nothing weird, hippy or alternative about it.

It is purely about learning practical strategies that will help you regulate your nervous system.

Aka - you will learn how to feel safe in your body and mind again.

This also means mental freedom - freedom to feel relaxed, care-free and able to do the things you love again.

As a Holistic Psychologist, I’ll help you figure out your unique way to overcome panic attacks for good, whether its through meditation, breath-work, yoga practices or other nervous system hacks.

You have a unique way of healing for your specific mind and body, and it’s not about following a cookie cutter cognitive-behavioural approach.

Now, it’s over to you.

The quicker you say ‘enough is enough’ or ‘there’s got to be more to life, than this?’

The quicker you get to improving your self-esteem, your intuition and decision-making abilities AND getting rid of panic attacks for good.
