Your void is hidden by the habits in your life.

When it comes to kicking bad habits, it's easier to add rather than subtract.

As a previous anxiety sufferer and Holistic Psychologist and Coach in Sydney, I'm always looking for more efficient ways to feel good.

This led me to analyse my habits.

When it comes to trying to kick a habit, it's easier to add rather than subtract.

What does this mean?

If you know me, you know I LOVE chai. I've been massively over-doing it lately. 

Now I know this isn’t a life-ending habit, but its important to start with small habits first. So stick with me…
Nothing seemed to help me drink less caffeine.

I wanted to drink less caffeine because I knew I was stuck in a tired, needing more caffeine, then tired again spiral.

What I realised is that I was trying to 'subtract' a habit, instead of 'adding' new ones.

What creates habits, is... surprise surprise... Our emotions.

When I started making more time for doing the things I loved each day, I felt so much happier and more fulfilled.

Suddenly, I realised I didn't need as much caffeine as I used to. 

Why? 

Because I was filling the void that caffeine was filling by ADDING things I love to my life, and not trying to subtract or quit a habit.

The habit I wanted to change fell away easily.

Moral of the story = ADD, don't subtract.
